Hypercar Lotus Evija: specifiche, prezzo, cavalli, velocità massima e accelerazione 0 - 100

The Lotus Evija is a limited edition electric sports car produced by British car manufacturer Lotus. Unveiled in July 2019, it is the first electric car unveiled and produced by the company.

The car aims to push the boundaries of modern hypercar technology. While many competitors offer hybrid powertrains, this model promises to be all-electric and equipped with ultra-fast charging. Its appearance is reminiscent of race cars designed to dominate the track. The car’s exterior includes components such as a butterfly door and a large rear wing. However, the best thing this car offers with its four electric motors: the Evija has almost 2,000 horsepower, and Lotus claims that it is the most powerful production car in the world.

Lotus designers say their main inspiration was aeronautics and nature. This is the first road car to feature laser headlights for both high and low beam. Also note its sharp design lines, curved bonnet reminiscent of old Lotus race cars, and muscular overhangs. Although you can’t tell from the photos, the Evija has an extremely low ground clearance of just 4.1 inches.

Evija’s stunning design is not just meant to look good. Each component serves several purposes. Take the rear, for example. This Venturi tunnel design was inspired by endurance racing at Le Mans, optimizing airflow by directing it through, reducing drag. Lotus even added a red LED to each tunnel to recreate the appearance of a jet afterburner. The front two-plane splitter also aims to improve aerodynamics.

And the side mirrors? Note that they’re not there. Why not? Because they’re bad for aerodynamics. Instead, Lotus has built a camera into the front wings and another into the roof. All images are displayed on three internal screens.

Lotus Evija range:

The Lotus Evija should offer a WLTP range of around 400 km, which is also a good result considering the power of the entire system

Lotus Evija 0-100:

Its steep technical parameters enable the 1,680 kg car to reach 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, and 300 km/h appears on the counter in just 9 seconds.

Lotus Evija top speed:

The top speed must exceed 320 km/h.

Lotus Evija interior:

Inside the forward-facing drop-shaped cabin, Lotus has created a framework of carbon fibre beams that keep everything the driver needs at hand. Although futuristic, the age-old Lotus spirit of lightness is most evident. The flat-bottomed steering wheel is F1-style with different modes – Eco, City, Tour, Sport and Track – and OLED screens on the doors broadcast footage from the fender-mounted cameras. Interestingly, there is no touchscreen in sight.

Lotus Evija price (Buy Lotus Evija):

The Lotus Evija allows customers to customise the colour and finish, but only for those who have made a deposit of at least $495,000 per car.
