Caparo T1: specs, price, horsepower, top speed and acceleration 0 – 100

The Caparo T1 is a mid-engine, two-seat vehicle with rear-wheel drive. Built by Caparo Vehicle Technologies (founded by Ben Scott-Geddes and Graham Halstead, engineers who worked on the McLaren F1).

The CaparoT1 monocoque is made from carbon fibre with aluminium honeycomb materials, which offer enormous strength and toughness with minimal dead weight, providing the high body rigidity needed for good handling. The rear sub-frame is made of aerospace steel.

The cockpit offers two seats – the passenger seat is placed sideways and slightly offset to the rear. A glass cover protects the pilot and passenger from the weather.

The embarkation and disembarkation process is also reminiscent of a real racing car – there are no doors in the car, so you have to jump on the seat. Both seats are equipped with five-point safety belts.
