Alpine GTA: specs, price, horsepower, top speed and acceleration 0 – 100

The Renault Alpine GTA four-seat rear-wheel drive coupe was produced by French sports car manufacturer Alpine from 1986 to 1991.

This car was Alpine’s first product under Renault ownership. The chassis base was made of steel and the suspension was wishbone.

Compared to its predecessor, the Alpine A310, the new model features a more modern body silhouette with integrated bumpers and a sleek rear end with a wide rear window. The Alpine GTA was one of the most aerodynamically advanced vehicles of its time, with a drag coefficient of a record 0.28 in the open-top version. Many of the body components were made from polyester plastics and fibreglass.
