Ferrari has unveiled a track version of its LaFerrari hypercar which has been prefixed with the FXX K, where K stands for on-board kinetic energy recovery system – KERS
The track version received a more aerodynamic kit which resulted in an increase in overall length to 4,895 mm and width to 2,051 mm, but the height (1,116) and wheelbase (2,650) of the car remain the same. The La Ferrari FXX K flaunts a carbon-fibre front splitter. The rear part of the coupe underwent a serious redesign – here a completely different lighting equipment, another bumper and a completely new massive diffuser. In addition, the rear of the car is flanked by two separated wings, and between them there is an adjustable wing. The manufacturer has achieved a 50% increase in downforce when driving at relatively low speeds and a 30% increase when actively piloting.
A limited edition (presumably 30 units) for an exclusive group of lucky drivers who will be competing in several races at different circuits over the next two years. These buyers are referred to by the company as test drivers. To buy an FXX K, you have to be a very loyal Ferrari customer and, at the very least, a LaFerrari owner.
