The Dodge Charger Daytona is a 3-door hatchback with front-wheel drive. The model was introduced in the USA, by Dodge in 1984.
The initial model bearing the Daytona name was the sports version of the Studebaker Lark, produced for about three years with standard bucket seats and widely available with a 4.7 litre V8 producing 240 bhp.
The Daytona coupe differed from the Charger by having a bigger rear spoiler and an aerodynamic ‘face’. The spoiler itself was very high, with a 58.4 cm high wing level above the boot and mounted above the level of the car’s roof.
Only 503 of these NASCAR-approved cars have been produced.
