The Aurus Senat made its public debut at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show. Its name comes from the merger of the two words aurum (Latin for gold) and Russia.
The model is intended primarily for top government officials, but some versions will also go on sale in limited quantities. The level of localization of the Aurus Senat executive sedan has reached 68%.

Aurus Senat engine:
Under the bonnet of the Aurus Senat is a turbocharged V8 petrol engine. An auxiliary electric motor, powered by a separate high-voltage battery, runs in parallel. In total, thanks to two turbochargers, this tandem generates 598 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 880 Nm of torque from 2,200 to 4,750 crankshaft rpm. The transmission is a nine-band classic hydro-mechanical automatic. All-wheel drive is all-wheel-drive with an electromechanical clutch that transfers part of the torque to the front axle wheels.
