Starting in 2022, the Audi Q4 e-tron series electric models will reduce battery charging times. The model versions with a large battery that provide 76.6 kWh of usable energy (82 kWh gross) will benefit from this: the Audi Q4 40 e-tron, Audi Q4 45 e-tron quattro and Audi Q4 50 e-tron quattro, including their Sportback variants as well.
All of these model versions will now come with batteries of up to 135 kW. Ideal charging times of 5 to 80 percent are reduced to 29 minutes for the Q4 40 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron as well as for the Q4 45 e-tron quattro as well as the Q4 50 e-tron quattro and Q4. Sportback 50 e-tron quattro, up to 36 minutes.
Audi is extending the feature set for the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron models. Customers can now expect shorter charging times for models with larger batteries, as well as extended services via Audi connect and the myAudi app.
Charging times are reduced by optimizing the temperature control software and battery management systems. All models are carbon dioxide-free, have a longer driving range and, thanks to the optional e-tron charging service, can be conveniently charged at around 320,000 charging points in 26 European countries.

Audi now connects to Amazon Alexa
The Amazon Alexa virtual assistant, integrated into the car via Audi connect, allows drivers to control their calendar or shopping list using their voice. It also allows you to control compatible smart home devices from within the car, from the ‘car.2 Individual’ user profile level.
With Audi connect Emergency call & Service, the car can make an automatic emergency call in the national language to help emergency services get to the right place. Manual roadside assistance is available quickly and competently by pressing the service button on the roof module. A separate mobile phone module, independent of the customer’s phone system, enables data and audio files to be transmitted via an integrated SIM card installed in a shock-protected location in the vehicle.
The infotainment system is complemented by the largest display ever used in an Audi vehicle. An optional 11.6-inch MMI touchscreen display with a resolution of 1,764 x 824 pixels comes as standard in the MMI pro and MMI plus packages.
New charging functions in the myAudi app
The free myAudi app also offers new functions. Pre-planned routes can now be conveniently transferred to the vehicle directly from the app. The e-tron route planner automatically plans recharging stops based on the current traffic situation and individual energy consumption profile. A target charge level can also be set in the app, and the driver is informed when the desired charge level is reached via push notification on his smartphone.
