The Italians from Covini have unveiled their latest development – a six-wheeled C6W roadster with Formula 1 dynamism.
The project remained on paper for a long time due to the lack of special low profile tyres available on the market. It wasn’t until 2004 that a prototype was built of the Covini C6W equipped with two pairs of steering wheels. The truck received a tubular steel frame with a wheelbase of 2750 mm, a twin body made of fiberglass and carbon fiber, Brembo disc brakes with ABS.
In 2009. Ferruccio Covini announced the start of small series production of six to eight units per year.
At the front the Covini C6W uses 15-inch wheels with 205/45 tyres, while the rear pair of 345/25 tyres is fitted on 20-inch wheels.
