The Bugatti Bolide is a French hypercar that is primarily focused on trackside use. The car was designed and developed by Bugatti Engineering GmbH – Wolfsburg, Germany.
The car was presented to the public on 28 October 2020. The name comes from the French le bolide for ‘racing car’. Under the bonnet is a modern W16 power unit – Bugatti has announced that this will be the last car with this ‘big heart’. Also, the car has a very good power to weight ratio of 0.67 kg per hp. Thanks to a special aerodynamic kit, the German engineers managed to get the incredible 800 kg of downforce at the front and 1800 kg at the rear. The basis of the car is a carbon monocoque. Parts made of titanium alloy (used in construction of aerial vehicles in space industry). At the moment, the car is available in a single copy.

Bugatti Bolide Safari
This crazy project was presented by the renowned design group, Yasid Design. They removed “everything superfluous” and made the design even more aggressive. They also increased the ground clearance and installed a spare wheel at the rear. In this version, the car is ready to conquer any off-road and sand dunes.

Under the bonnet is a W16 8.0-litre four-turbo petrol engine. The maximum output is 1,850 horsepower. The engine is paired with a seven-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive system.

It takes 2.17 seconds to reach the first hundred. To reach 200 km/h, you’ll need around 4.36 seconds. And if you’re not afraid to accelerate “up to the masked speed” (500 km/h), it takes a “low” 20 seconds.

On a special track (inside the factory), test drivers were able to accelerate the hypercar to speeds of 500 kilometres per hour.
