It’s based on a sports sedan, the Alfa Romeo 75 IMSA.
On the steel chassis of the 75 sedan, the Zagato technicians in the town of Ro’, Milan province, installed a new body made of thermoplastic material to reduce the car’s weight. The coupe was in small series production from 1989 to 1991, with a total of 1,036 cars produced.
The model has an original skeleton-panel body design with an unconventional proportion using composite materials, as well as a front optic consisting of six square headlights.
