A car based on Citroën ‘elite’ B-class hatchback, the DS3 Racing, which was made by the Citroen Racing division, was shown at the Geneva Motor Show
To improve the handling and stability of the hatchback, the French widened the front and rear axle by 30 mm, lowered the ground clearance by 15 mm, replaced the shock absorbers and springs with stiffer ones, installed high performance sports brakes and reconfigured the ESP.
The concept is painted in dark grey, contrasting with the orange roof, mirrors, brake calipers and radiator grille. The sports look also communicate carbon-fiber body kit around the perimeter (including the front bumper inserts and pads for wheel arches), spoilers and air intakes, increasing downforce, as well as “athletic” 18-inch alloy wheels, also incidentally of orange hue. Chromed exhaust pipes and special badging on the bodywork complete the picture.

Citroen DS3 Racing engine:
It is based on the 156hp 1.6 THP 150 petrol turbo engine (240 Nm). Engineers upgraded it in terms of design, modified the turbocharger, reconfigured the control programme and optimized the output, resulting in 207 bhp and 275 Nm.

Citroen DS3 Racing interior:
The interior features carbon fibre inserts on the centre console, door panels and the truncated steering wheel. The centre section of the dashboard and the gearbox lever with its base insert are painted in the same colour as the roof of the car. The final touches are the Citroen Racing logos on the seat backs and the number plate on the roof lining.
