Less than two years after production of the Toyota GR Supra GT4 began, 50 examples of this racing car have been delivered. To mark the occasion, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe has prepared a special version of the GR Supra GT4 50 Edition, limited to just six units.
Toyota GR Supra GT4 is a professionally prepared race car based on the GR Supra model. Developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe in Cologne, the car debuted in 2020. The GR Supra race car quickly proved to be a very competitive car in the GT4 series around the world. Drivers have started the GR Supra GT4 in over 250 races, scored 36 wins in their class and made the podium 78 times. Thanks to its performance, reliability, value for money and excellent support from TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe, 50 units have been delivered to customers in less than two years. To mark the occasion, the GR Supra GT4 50 Edition will be produced in a limited edition of six.
Two GR Supra GT4 50 Edition cars will go to Asia, two to the US market and two more to Europe. The 50th Edition cars feature red paintwork (GR Supra GT4 is white as standard) as well as the ’50 Edition’ badges reserved for this model. There are special gold-coloured stickers on the front wings in front of the doors and on the roof. Buyers will also receive a special black tarp that can be used to cover the car.
Anniversary accents will also be present in the interior. The system control knob bears the ’50 Edition’ emblem, and the same emblem is also present on the passenger-side dashboard. The GR Supra GT4 50 Edition also has a standard passenger seat, so the driver can take another person with him to the track. The GR Supra logo is placed on the backs of the new bucket seats.
As in the road-going version of the GR Supra, the front suspension is McPherson struts, the rear suspension is multi-link and both axles are KW springs. The braking system has been strengthened with racing calipers with six pistons at the front and four at the rear. The car is also equipped with a lightweight steel body-based safety cage and an FIA-compliant racing seat with six-point harness.
