The Centodieci is the latest, extremely exclusive offering from Bugatti. The car is nothing less than a modern incarnation of the legendary EB110
It is based on the Chiron model, but lighter and more robust than it. A total of 10 units will be produced, with two to be made before the end of 2019.
Centodieci means ‘one hundred and ten’ in Italian and has been credited with two important milestones in the brand’s history. The first is the 110th anniversary of the brand founded by Italian Ettore Bugatti. The second is a reference to the first Bugatti model after the revival of the brand in the 1990s, the Bugatti EB110, a supercar that was the fastest production car in the world in 1991-1992.
The close relationship with the Chiron is evident at a glance. Not surprisingly, because the Centodieci is nothing less than a cooler version of the Chiron. However, car designers have taken care of numerous details that refer back to the legend of the 90s, which is undoubtedly the Bugatti EB110. These are horizontal crossbars of the front bumper or distinctive air intakes in the central pillar.
Like the EB110, the Centodieci is an extreme sports car. Of course, it is much faster than the original.
Interestingly, the Centodiets weigh 20kg less than the Chiron. We owe the difference to lighter wipers and carbon fibre stabilisers. However, it is doubtful that the driver will be able to feel this difference. The more so, as Bugatti hypercar is not the smallest and most responsive in handling.
The car looks amazing. Especially, at the back, where a big light stripe runs along the whole width of the body. Just underneath you’ll find a diffuser with four vertically mounted exhaust pipes. The wing, which provides hundreds of kilograms of downforce when driving fast, is also very impressive.
