The 365 GTC4 is the successor to the 365 GTC and the first Ferrari to be designed to meet the new US environmental regulations.
The 365 GTC4 was nicknamed “The Hunchback” because of its distinctive bodywork. The low engine compartment had retractable headlights, and the parking lights, turn indicators and auxiliary lights, which functioned as fog and high beam, were enclosed in a synthetic frame surrounding the radiator grille. The grille itself was rectangular, with the Ferrari logo in the centre. Underneath it were four air intakes: two circular on the sides and two quadrangular in the centre.
The car features new styling details such as a black polyurethane frame around the radiator, to which a matte black bumper was later added.
